The 8th awards ceremony for the best Iranian sportsmen of the year held and three times world Greco-roman wrestling champion Hamid Sourian named as Iran sport man of the year.

Also 2007 world silver medalist at 96kg, Saeid Ebrahimi, was one of the 10 best Iran sportsmen.

Greco-roman national team head coach, Reza Simkhah, named as best coach of individual sports. 

Moreover four other wrestlers named as the best sportsmen of their provinces.

Fardin Masoumi from Gilan, Saman Tahmasebi from Kurdestan, Masoud Hashemzadeh from Azarbaijan Sharghi and Ghasem Rezaei from Mazandaran were best sportsmen of their provinces.

Also Mojtaba Mamizadeh from Ardeil, Hamid bavafa and Ali Rajabzadeh from Khorasan, Reza Asadpour from Khouzestan, Mehdi Taghavi, Reza Yazdani, Morad Mohammdi, Abbas Dabbaghi and Asghar Bazri from Mazandaran and Amir Aliakbari from Tehran were among top sportsmen of their provinces.
